Bloodlines?

So, the Bloodlines mechanic changed greatly between 1st and 2nd editions. I know nothing about 2e, but I do have the 1e splatbooks "Bloodlines: The (Legendary/Chosen/Hidden)" and "Ancient Bloodlines", which are all about 1e bloodlines.
