Talk:Warhammer/Tactics/8th Edition/Vampire Counts
Holy shit guys, I put up the mess sign at the top to try and get someone to make it LESS of a mess, not more. Someone with more experience playing vampire counts DESPERATELY needs to clean this up a bit. I'll try to get some more work done on it, but I dunno when I'll have a chance. - Jemas42 1:53 4/22/2014
How am I making it MORE of a mess? --Thannak (talk) 02:24, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
I don't know if it's you or someone else, but this page is in desperate need of cleanup: Multiple units that don't understand the rules of the game (Bat Swarms are your only unstable unit...Yeah, that seems accurate) and posts on units that go on for WAY too long. Seriously, the entry on the Mortis engine is over 1,000 words long, someone needs to cut that down. - Jemas42 11:21, 21 August 2014
For some reason, most entries recite all corresponding rules - from BRB. I mean, c'mon, it's enough to mention them by name, no need to describe every single one. - random bystader 03:11, 28 August 2014
Cleanup[edit]
Holy shit (or unholy in this case) this article is a fucking mess. I've cleaned up all of the generic units, but haven't touched thee named characters or the magic yet, I'm still debating on what to do with those, do we really need the bloodlines section at all? In the old rules all it was is your vampires have to be from the same blood line, so you can only use all blood dragons and they'd get special bonuses/penalties, but since that isn't in this edition we don't need a massive section explaining crunch that doesn't exist any more, all of that can be moved over to the lore article, and just the bloodlines + the magic spells are at least 25% of the article, that's ridiculous. --Triacom (talk) 07:44, 27 August 2014
There. I've cleaned up most of the article, the named characters are all that's left. A little tip for anybody who plans to add more, stop saying the rules for every single entry, the people playing the army already have the rules in front of them, they just want tactics from a tactics page so only post the rules if you think they are incredibly important, posting stats and full descriptions of exactly what everything does is also incredibly unnecessary. --Triacom (talk) 11:02, 27 August 2014
All right, I've finished off the rest of the article, please don't fuck this up and once again you don't need to write everything there is about special characters. Anybody using them will already have the Vampire Counts book in front of them and so will already know their special rules, you just need to highlight what's so good/bad about them, like saying that a special character is a great deal because he has Loremaster and doesn't cost too much for example. --Triacom (talk) 10:15, 29 August 2014
