Talk:Warhammer 40,000/6th Edition Tactics/Space Marines
I just savw this outdated story. Yue know, to FAQ'es friendly psy-powers now do not affect super-heavies, and GoI in transport now work only on passengers. But storry is cool.
Just writing this entry reminds me of the greatest game I ever played, massive board, 17000 points per team, MANY Lascannons pointed at my Thunderhawk, just waiting for it to get in range, when suddenly...BANG...Terminator Librarian inside the Thunderhawk uses 'gate of infinity' and the Thunderhawk materialises behind his lines, unleashes it's baleful weaponry on those sneaky chaos devastators, and proceeds to disgorge 10 thunder hammer and storm shield equipped Assault Terminators and a Terminator Librarian with storm shield right into the middle of his ally's green tide formation of 150 greenskins, the combat lasted almost the entire game, of course, the Thunderhawk went on to destroy a traitor Baneblade and 7 Battlewagons (and countless orks) and was then itself destroyed (with a return of 1500 points damage for 900 points loss). On the very last turn of the game my Terminators, having received NO help against the green tide from anyone, crushed the Warboss' skull and finished off the tide, there were 5 of them left and the Librarian, so 150 orks for 5 terminators...

Woah woah woah.....these....'Fellblades'....are you saying....that I can buy a Baneblade.....give it BS4 and higher points....and use it in my marine army??!!!--Luigi 17:47, 16 June 2012 (BST)

Edit War 3: the Revertening[edit]
Dude we've been over this like a million times. Everybody has agreed that strikethroughs are not the acceptable way to correct outdated information. That's why we have the 5th edition archives. I even took care not to delete any of the "joke" strikethroughs. Also how is Luigi my sock puppet? His user page shows he's been here for a year and has hundreds of edits. --Petro 20:15, 8 August 2012 (BST)
Carab Culln[edit]
Where are the current rules for Carab Culln found? All I can find are his old rules, when he was 190 points, was a captain, and didn't give people free apothecaries! More rules I can't find anywhere...where are the named SM superheavies (Iron Breaker and Sanctimonia Cruoris)? Can't find their rules anywhere.
- Imperial Armour, I believe. -- SFH 01:30, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- Carab is in IA 9 or 10, like all Badab War characters (except Haran Sheth - sis rules are on FW website)
Ah, found his current rules in IA9. Still nothing on the variants of the Fellblade and their named versions though. Sorry to be such a pain, just hoping to verify all information on this page, and to be able to point players in the general direction of where they should be looking, should they require proof of rules to play them.
Siege Assault Vanguard[edit]
I want to create a tactica for the Siege Assault Vanguard variant of the standard Codex: Space Marines list. Anyone know how to create a page? I know how to write/edit/format, but if there is a create page button somewhere, it is well hidden. And I think if I just added it to the regular space marine tactics it would get cluttered (despite noticeable similarities).

Damocles Pattern Rhino[edit]
Anyone know where the rules for this are found? I have looked for them, trying to verify what is written here, but they elude me. They don't seem to be in the badab war books (only skimmed them though), the Anphelion Project, IA:A 2nd ed, IA:2 or anywhere else really.
- its on Taros campaign book
Legion of the Damned[edit]
Honestly...who's the dumbfag who edited the LotD entry, and WHY? Complete garbage. They are shunned for a reason (the fact that they suck at everything). I just really need to know why this is a thing that has happened. Then I'll fix it.
Black Templars[edit]
So Black Templars... I'm thinking they get their own tactica, for the same reasons as the Siege Vanguard, otherwise we'll have a mess of Space Marine advice and Templar advice. Given the difference in troops and usage, that modifies the rest of the army.
- To be fair, the Siege Vanguard is listed and used as a separate army; they can even ally with other Space Marine armies, which regular armies can't do (I know the Black Legion supplement allows this for Chaos Marines, but I think that's a one-off thing). I haven't seen the most recent rumors for how different the Black Templars will be, but it sounded like there aren't that many differences with Black Templars, at least not many more so than any other Chapter that's getting Chapter Tactics. Salamanders[edit]
Are Flamestorm Cannons considered to be flamer weapons now? Do the Salamanders get them twin-linked?
- Yes, rejoice!
- Except Chapter Tactics doesn't apply to vehicles, despair!
A question regarding the spartan assault tank[edit]
Why would you ever take the laser destroyers? Sure they have ordnance but wouldn't that be negated by the fact it has half as many shots. You would just be reducing its range (the quad las cannons have 48 inches while the destroyers have 36) and reducing its capability against heavy infantry.
- You're not wrong there, not only that, but firing Ordnance would reduce all other weapons on the vehicle to BS1, regardless of whether you use "Power of the Machine Spirit", (the same applies to the Land Raider Helios) chalk it up to them forgetting that the Spartan is not a superheavy vehicle, Forgeworld occasionally makes logic errors like that - e.g: the Caestus Assault Ram before the Imperial Armour 2: Second Edition, it was a supersonic flyer with a transport capacity. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 11:25, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Actually can someone who is better at probability work out if the laser destroyers are actually better against vehicles? They may have ordanance but they have half the amount of shots Gutsm3k (talk) 16:59, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
hang on a minute...[edit]
Many of the weapon options state:replace a weapon with.... Would grenades count as weapons? They are included in the same area as close combat weapons and they are used for killing right? If so we have found a way to make smashfucker better Gutsm3k (talk) 23:18, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
