Adding more detail to army building section:[edit]

A basic list has been given for an army prototype. I think we should add more detailed types to aid in people's selections. I tried this on the Tau tactics article only to have my work deleted. Anyone know if wikifag is for or against more detailed lists in tactics sections? Anyway, I think more detail needs to be added and just wanted to ask those contributing to this page if they would have a problem with that. I realise we probably wouldn't be able to display points costs but still. Thx in advance, --Vasari Vorastra Kultorask (talk)

Your work on the Tau page was deleted because it was only an army list to a preset points value with no explanation of what to do with it... If you want to go into detail, then do so. But keep it to the length of a paragraph or two, no more than that: explain what units you need and how they work together and leave it at that... Leaving the unspent points to the reader unless they are pivotal to your tactic. There no need to tell people how to build their ENTIRE army list (since the two Troops & one HQ are usually mandatory anyway, e.g: telling Tau players to take Fire Warriors is a stupid thing to do unless you're specifically explaining why they're taking them over Kroot, which should have already been done in the unit text) or what to equip each unit with, since the Tactics page already has a "per unit" breakdown which "should" cover the pros and cons of each choice. But how the list works as a whole should be they key, if all you're going to do is put together a list and just repeat what has already been said about each individual unit then its just a waste of everyone's time.--Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 17:55, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Vortex Deathstrike Rules[edit]

Since GW and FW have erased all their PDF's anyone know if there are any rules for this still around or if they are in the FW IG books? Thx, VVK --Vasari Vorastra Kultorask (talk) 17:55, 30 August 2015 (UTC) 17:30, 1 September 2015. (GMT)

Mont'Ka section's subsecions[edit]

I think this Decurion shouln't have subsections, so it doesn't appear too large in the Contents box. On an unrelated note, shouldn't the Militarum tempestus be erased due to it having its own codex now? -- Zerghalo2 (talk) 05:05, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

  • It's only 4 subsections, just so the stuff you'd need would be easy to find. It's not like I made 1 for each entry. And yeah, Tempestus is already seperate and should be removed -- Murdaface (talk) 05:27, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Death from the Skies[edit]

So, who's going to add the new stuff from Death from the Skies? I would, but it's probably best that I ask first. Yes, I know the community reaction is generally negative right now, but I have the book, don't think it's complete rubbish, and I have the time to write out the changes. -- Murdaface (talk) 22:46, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

  • Thanks for moving what I wrote. Fits better in Tactics. -- Murdaface (talk) 16:25, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Malcador Infernus[edit]

Because it caught me out even when I was looking for it; The Malcador's Inferno and Chem inferno Cannon does in fact have a better version of torrent with range 18". As per Tesseract's comments the rule is specced on pg 269 of said book. I stand rebuked. PSC Wintergreen (talk) 19:00, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

Field Artillery in wrong section?[edit]

Correct me if I'm wrong but the copy of IA Vol 1 Second Edition I have here lists them as Heavy Support? --Vasari Vorastra Kultorask (talk) 12:11, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
