Disclaimer: I am a complete noob and still learning how to play this game with a few friends at my local store. As such, I am probably asking a pair of very foolish questions, but would appreciate a few answers.

Looking at Special Issue Wargear, it mentions that a medkit is Mandatory for fielding the Command Squad as a warlord. I'm reading the soft-back codex, having received it in the mail this morning, and I can't find that requirement anywhere in the entries for the Unit or under Special Issue Wargear. Have I missed something, or is there something I am not aware of? Also, I fail to see any Force Organization Chart. Seeing as I still need to get my hands on a 7th edition Core Rulebook, I wouldn't know if it features a universal Force Org Chart. Would anyone care to clarify this for me?

  • Well, as far as I know, the Medkit is not mandatory for your Command Squad - Useful, but not mandatory for it to be a Warlord. On the thing with the Force Org, I believe the MT uses its own Org of sorts, which should be in the book somewhere, but beside that, any force can pretty much always be fielded as a regular CAD, if you plan on using it as its own force, rather than as support for another Force. then again, I'm not big on formations and Orgs and whatnot, so you might have to keep searching for that.
Just ask if there's more you need to know, and welcome to the hobby c: TheWiseDane (talk) 09:58, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
  • Thank you, TheWiseDane. Though, again, as a noob without a Core Rulebook yet, I don't know all the limitations and requirements for the Combined Arms Detachment. I hope I can find more info somewhere here on the site. Also, seeing as we can't find the MedKit being mandatory anywhere in the codex for a Command Squad Warlord choice, should we edit that bit out?

Hey there, and welcome to the hobby! I believe that the Medipack is said to be mandatory for players by popular opinion rather than rules (as in, you'll lose if you don't take it), so feel free not to take any! But I personally NEVER play it, and never really suffered from its lack - I'll edit for clarity. Oh, and don't forget to end all of you posts in the talk page by 2 dashes (ctrl + 6 on my keyboard) and 4 tild symbols (they look kinda like horizontal Ss, and are at AltGR + 2 on my keyboard) to auto-insert your signature and the date at which you posted! --Talon of Anathrax (talk) 07:11, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
