Talk:Warhammer 40,000/Tactics/Ynnari(7E)
This is the Imperial Agents problem again. Why exactly is it 'useless' to examine units in the army that are also in another army? How do harlequins stack up against something like Guardian Squads? How about Incubi vs Dire Avengers? Are Wyches worth their cost when you can get Howling Banshees? There's a lot here that isn't 'useless' to consider, and in fact I'd argue that a page that doesn't compare the units to one another is far more useless. -- Triacom (talk) 10:25, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't put that. I was actually considering starting to write about Aeldari units in the context of Ynnari. Since new rules can utterly change the way some old units operate. Looks pointedly at Fire Dragons and Wraithguard. So they'd deserve some exposition. -Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 11:17, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

Swooping Hawks and Intercept[edit]
Why does there seem to be confusion about when Intercept can be used? It clearly states it happens at the end of the movement phase. So let's say you use it, destroy some aircraft, soulburst which extends the movement phase, move over another target, and since it's the end of the movement phase again you can use it again. Because of the wording I'd say you cannot use Intercept unless it's in the movement phase, and I can't think of a way around that to allow you to use Intercept in any other phase. -- Triacom (talk) 18:09, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Strictly speaking "At the End of the Movement Phase" means after all models have moved, around the same time that Interceptor takes place. That said, the rules for Intercept came out before "out of phase" actions were a thing, be it "shooting in the movement phase" (Riptide Wing/Terminator Annihilation Force/Chapter Ancients/etc), moving in the shooting phase, etc. Unless an errata comes out, RAW-wise the answer would be "one flyer" at the end of the move phase regardless of whether you moved twice or not. More amusing is that since Intercept states "at the end of the movement phase", there's nothing preventing Intercept from taking place during the opponent's movement phase, assuming they have stuff that can kill you during their move phase. MagicJuggler (talk) 18:42, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Wrong. Soulburst doesn't extend, it lets you act as if it were that phase for you--it doesn't extend the phase.
Reformating the unit analysis.[edit]
Seeing as how the book doesn't keep the Eldar, Dark Eldar, and Harlequins separate I don't see why we should do that on the main page either. Why not just list all HQ's under HQ, all Troops under Troops and so on, keeping where they're from included that in a footnote if it's really necessary? -- Triacom (talk) 19:09, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- I'm cool with that. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 19:41, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Harlequin Troupe[edit]
I don't see the Harlequin Troupe as an option for the "Reborn Warhost", in neither the Troops nor the Elite sections. So, the only way of adding them is by one of the Harlequins formations, that usually have some kind of tax. Do anyone know if this is intended or just a typo from GW? dieresys
- It's there. "Troupe (H)" under Troops in the Reborn Warhost. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 17:34, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- I don't see it either - which version do you have Dark Angel? --Imoral
- I've got the book version. Though I now see what you're talking about though because it's not there in the digital edition for some reason. But in print it sits under the "Wyches (DE)" entry. --[[User:Dark Angel

New FAQ[edit]
Given the new FAQ is out, the article might or might not need some overhaul to reflect GW new rulings - I will start making the changes. --Imoral
- I should have done away with all the new clarifications/rules, but in case I missed anything please modify the page. --Imoral
