Is it all universally Grimdarky chaotic?[edit]
So here's something I've been wondering. We know the warp was once a nicer more stable place, the then Cron/Old Ones war came around and turned everything inside-out, upside down, pants on head... but did it turn "everything"? Is possible for there to exist places in the Warp that are still more like before the time of sentient species?
- There was a good part back when the Warhammer Fantasy Chaos Gods of Law were canon, but Be'lakor had a line in a recent Black Library book (so take with a big grain of salt) the main one doesn't exist. So who knows. GW seems intent on maximum grimderp 40k canon even in Fantasy so maybe not anymore. --Thannak (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
There might be a few 'islands' of relative calm left. Hell, if fanatical Alpha and Primaris Psykers looked really hard they might even find the fledgling Realm of the Emprah! (If Malal, being Malal, does not have an orderly Chaos Realm the map has conveniently forgotten about.)--Rockingpilgrim (talk) 14:16, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
The Warp/Psychic Powers beyond our galaxy?[edit]
Simply put. The Nids come from another galaxy, they communicate through the warp (Hive Mind) and their constant chatter casts a Shadow on the Warp. Yet they didn't show any psychic capabilities until they nomed some eldar/human psykers. Why? Is it possible that Psykers are something unique to our galaxy? I'm guessing the Old Ones had a hand in this, but it begs the question why is it like that?
- Really interesting! I personally believe that each galaxy must have it's own warp (either calm or with it's own versions of the Ruinous Powers), although eh Rogue Trader RPG rulebooks hinted that travel to other galaxies (the nearest, satellite, stellar clusters to the milky way at least) was possible - but that it was considered Heresy. Oh, and sign your posts, makes answering and dating easier! (2 "~" and 4 "-" without spaces does it). --Talon of Anathrax (talk) 18:08, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- I've always seen the warp as an alternate universe to realspace (like the Shadowplane to Prime Material from D&D), therefore it's everywhere. I think I've read somewhere a theory that the Old Ones (which I blame for everything wrong in the universe) had happy-happy-fun times with reality and thinned the veil between the two over our galaxy, thus making it easier for psykers to be born (oh, and it's 2 "-" and 4 "~"). --Dark Harlequin (talk) 18:58, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- So our galaxy can be the equivalent of the Eye of Terror among other nearby galaxies(those that are not nommed by the 'nids)?
- Well, it would explain why no other intergalactic species tried to invade our Galaxy - no one sane want to have anything to so with with a corrupted Warp region.
- In this case the 'nids might be the weapon designed specifically to strip our galaxy of all life thus making it calm and peaceful, as no life - no psychic and any other activity - no Chaos (close to the Cabal's idea of destroying Chaos through destruction of humanity, but much more radical), so that guys in other galaxies (that designed the 'nids) would sleep without risk of shitting their pants.

Who?[edit]
A claim is made that "there is a character lost within the Warp who the Chaos Gods have forbidden harm coming to as a parody of Dante's Inferno." should this character not be named or linked
