Homeworld[edit]
Homeplanet is Joykota San Dunes Local Distortion of Chorgoris’ dialect Ajoyib Qo’tasning Dunyasi (World of Great Buffalo) Planet is suspected to be one of the oldest settled human worlds, records and folklore refer to its founders as being sent by the gods, Husduno Demiriga and his handmaiden La Nasas. Given this planet’s distance from Earth it was only recently pacified by The White Scars before the Horus Heresy began. After the Horus heresy, it fell along with several other planets located on the fringe of the empire. World is similar in many ways to Chorgoris during Jaghatai’s time, but the city to countryside is much more drastic. Fewer citties than Chorgoris, but those cities are considered “modern” by imperial standards (albeit barely). Whereas the the various small towns and tribes across the many plains and mesas are borderline medieval. Geography: Planet is much drier than earth, featuring a single continent. Weathered mountains have produced an abundance of mesas, plateaus, and canyons. Large sweeping deserts, grasslands, and prairies.
Cities[edit]
The Planet only has one hive city: “San Dorno”, However, the planet also has several Ruined hive cities that have been destroyed during various wars (including the war of conquest by the Black Templars). Most of these Bombed out cities are glorified raider camps, with all sorts of desperados and lowlifes residing in these bombed out ruins. This city is, like most of the planet, under the jurisdiction of the Steel Bulls, though they greatly resent them. The feeling is mutual for the Bulls, as they view the Denizens of San Dorno (known as Foret Cheverzun before the Templar Conquest) with contempt. Convinced that their leadership still refuses to acknowledge the Emperor’s light. In an effort to tame the region, The Ecclesiarchy (The Ordo Diologis and Hospitalier in Particular) have established a successful mission in one of these bombed out hives. This City, named Santa Celestina serves as the hub of Ecclesiarchy operations in the city, and act on behalf of the Steel Bulls. Since their alliance with the Ecclesiarchy, they have established several missions along the continent. Most named after religious figures. Including, but not limited to:
- San Guillermo
- San Sebastiano
- San Leo
- San Angel de Sangre
- San Hierro
- San Jagento
- San Sigsmundo
- San Cuervo
- San Vulcano
- San Olanio
- San Malcado
- Luz de Emperador
Each of these missions is effectively a fortress, as well as a self sustaining village. These missions and the roads between them are often the safest places on the planet, and represent a taming influence on the planet. Unique Characteristic: One of the Only Chapters since the second founding to hold two different primarch’s lineages, due to unique political and historical situation. Carries traditions from both Black Templars and White Scars chapters. As a result Chapter carries traditions from each of their chapters. Such as the Black Templar’s Religious Zeal, suspicion of Psykers, and training regimen, while taking on much of the white scars mobility and sense of frontier justice. “Tribe” System seems to be a hybridized system between the Black Templars’ “Initiates,” where “Greenhorns” must be approved by a tribe to be Trained by them.
