Please stop adding your "Devastators as quasi-tacticals" idea to the Space Marines tactics page. Using them like that a waste of a Heavy Support slot and completely misses the point of taking Devastators at all. If you want to use them as Tactical Marines, just take Tactical Marines. If you absolutely must keep adding it, get your ass to the talk page so we can spell out exactly why your idea is terrible. --Newerfag (talk) 16:36, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
- To the buffoon who is completely missing the point of taking devastators in the first place, a lascannon that hits on a 2+ is only 1 lascannon shot, which in an actual game will not justify not using the other heavy weapons it can also take. D6 damage isn't even enough to take out a Rhino on its own, for fuck's sake. If you really want a lascannon that hits on a 2+, just get a Rhino Primaris and use its buff to grant the +1, since at least that way you don't blow a slot which could've been used a dozen times better for anything other than ONE WHOLE LASCANNON and you could also grant buffs to other units when your harebrained plan turns those devastators into a giant fire magnet. If you still want to claim this is better, use the Talk:Warhammer_40,000/Tactics/Space_Marines(8E) page. --Newerfag (talk) 16:57, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
