From 1d4chan

I've actually been working on an overhaul of LCB for quite a while, based off some notes and the beginnings of a rough draft Bloomwriter and I wrote before he fell off the radar (again). While me and another guy have been working as hard as we can to turn said rough draft into a full story, we've slowed down quite a bit due to time constraints and other issues. Let me know if you're interested in collaborating with me and my co-writer, and I can provide you links and editing privileges to both the notes and the draft we've gotten so far- I'm sure our combined effort will guarantee a product equal or perhaps even superior to the original. --Newerfag (talk) 22:26, 29 July 2017 (UTC)

The top link is the early draft Bloomwriter and i were working on, and the bottom link is the current draft. I can also link you to a brief interview I initially had with him before I started on this; the guy was genuinely amazed I even cared about his work at first. I get the feeling he never did give himself enough credit. I've also got a rather long series of e-mail correspondences with him, but I'm a little reluctant to share it since it uses Bloomwriter's real name. Anyway, take a look and tell me what you think. Let me know if you want editing privileges too, since I'm aware it could use some refinement. --Newerfag (talk) 12:25, 30 July 2017 (UTC) Early notes/Rough draft Current draft (WIP) The interview

Like that!

Right! Will you be posting updates in the Storythread or just on your page?

Primarily on my page, though once I've beaten it with a stick enough and I think that its out of its rough formative phase, the new sections will go onto the story thread so that a bunch of other people can beat them with sticks.

I would like this re-imagining of the LCB story to continue. I am assuming this is still in progress, judging by the last edit being in December of 2018 on the Google Docs. I will pay you. Please respond to this post, AnotherAnonFinishingLCB, and I can set up a more private venue to discuss this. I am more than willing to undertake a measure of trust such as an initial payment to ensure you that I will not waste your time.

Please get back to me when you can. Thank you so much for your work.

Honestly, I'm honored you'd find my work worth paying for, but don't worry about paying for anything. I do it for free. You can reach me through discord at A_Big_Guy#7056. If there are more people watching this than I realize, and I get bombarded with messages, then just send me a message and edit this message on to the page.

As for the story, I actually consider this to be more or less finished. The two escaped the planet in a way that I felt was plausible, I got to explore some ideas about how Taldeer and her people are going to relate following this, offered some insight into Liivi and why is who he is, got to explore some other neat ideas about Eldar, and finally I tried to give the whole thing some closure with resolving what happened to Liivi, Taldeer, and Madek. It'd be nice if I could get some critical feedback, and then I'd be comfortable posting my revised story to the LCB page.

As far as the continuation goes, I guess the question would have to be - what more do you want to see? A day in the life? Perhaps a short story about how they got Lofn? I never thought about writing something like that until now, but if people actually wanted it I wouldn't mind sitting down and hammering something out. I immediately have some ideas.

Let me know what you're looking for and I'll give it some thought.

Added you just now as Kvist#1600 I appreciate the quick response, would love to touch base with you.

And to confirm, yes, the anonymous editor was me. I forgot to log in.

LCB canon endings.[edit]

Hi. I just finished Love Can Bloom, and I LOVE IT! I'm not sure about the order of endings the community likes best, but here's my best shot

LIIVI and Taldeer stay on Ulthwe, and have a kid.

LIIVI leaves, I don't know if the reason was ever written in the story.

Taldeer goes after him with the Rouge Trader, and finds him.

A Tender Moment is next, and we end.

That's my interpretation.

To dissuade hate, I'm staying anonymous.

No reason for you to fear hate. I'm not gonna go at you for your interpretation of the order of different stories or your personal preference in 40k fanfiction. Personally when I write LCB stuff, I'm sort of doing my own thing instead of completely following the mould. In a large part because I write mostly for me, and because like you, I don't actually know what the community enjoys most. When I started years ago, nothing else was really finished or seemed more or less established or legitimate, so I felt entitled to a lot of creative freedom. Maybe that's changed. But I feel too far along to change what I've started.

If you'd ever like to discuss the finer details of LCB or want to berate me for doing my own thing, my door is always open.
