The reason I'm undoing your edits on the Orks tactics page for stuff like this:

  • Although he is too squishy to be reliably taken as your warlord and still be useful, he can still benefit from his Kultur's unique relic, meaning that you can slap the WT Brutal but Kunnin' on him and toss him forward for maximum damage at minimum overall point cost.
  • You can't give him a relic. He's a named character, ya zoggin git! Also the Blood Axe trait is better for a person who is going to sit at your back lines (like that one mek that no one ever notices).

Is because arguing against what's written is not helpful. It turns the page into a mess and confuses anyone new who might be reading it. If info on the page is wrong, change it so it is correct, or just delete it outright if it's so wrong it's unsalvageable. -- Triacom (talk) 15:04, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for fixing it. -- Triacom (talk) 20:40, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Your welcome. Sorry about that, I'm pretty new to the editing stuff. Is there a place where I can look at the editing rules?

Unfortunately not, at one point there was on a user's page but the image seems to be gone now. Most of these were created over several years and a lot of discussion, but they're really easy to follow. Here's a general crash course:
  • 1) Do not argue on the main page. Arguing something in a paragraph after the fact, and/or using strikethroughs to cross off incorrect info and then posting the correct info afterwards is a bad idea. Strikethroughs are fine if you want to make a joke about something, and generally jokes about stuff are good so long as they're on-topic and don't directly contradict source material.
  • 2) Don't directly contradict source material. This is just a general rule, and unfortunately it isn't one GW follows, which is why some pages will mention separate accounts of the lore from GW's authors that don't match up. If you're worried about which lore should be used as a source and which you should ignore, then add both as a source and mention how they don't add up. That sort of thing is not only fine to do, but recommended.
  • 3) Don't remove people's arguments from a page's talk page. That's the sort of thing that just last week earned a user a suspension.
  • 4) The wiki is a community effort, so take to the talk pages if you're unsure of something, or if you're in an argument with somebody else. If the other person is unreasonable or a vandal, then go to the talk pages of user Root or AssistantWikifag, which are the admin and moderator of the wiki respectively.
So long as you follow those four guidelines you should be good. -- Triacom (talk) 23:40, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much

I forgot to mention one more thing: if you want to sign your posts like I do, then press the tilde key (~) four times. It will automatically sign your posts for you. -- Triacom (talk) 00:39, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

You're an awesome person. Thanks. Just L (talk) 02:09, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Hey so how can i clean up the ork tactics page? Just L (talk) 16:58, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Go right ahead, you don't need my permission. If you want some advice though, long descriptions of each unit generally aren't that helpful. If an entry details the Codex's unit (full stats, rules and weapons with no extra commentary), then it's just giving out info that anyone with the codex already knows. -- Triacom (talk) 17:41, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
