Regarding the Question on the Discussion page of approved Television

I understand that most people find relevant threads in /tg/ to justify their addition, though being a year old generally helps in order to avoid temporary hype trains from throwing garbage like Steven Universe where it doesn't belong. I also would say just suggest a thing or two and see how or why people disagree. Most users are pretty reasonable; just don't be a piece of crap when disagreeing.
