Regarding Arch Warhammer's Political Ideology[edit]

I would agree that his economic orientation is pretty center (if a little left-wing, by American standards), judging by his 8 Values test on his political channel, but his social/cultural policies are definitely, at the very least center right (given his tolerance of LGBTQ+ people), but more likely right (I wouldn't say far-right, no matter who he's idiotically talking with publically, but his blatant and misrepresented Islamophobia show through). Also, I would definitely leave the That Guy link, if only because he is exceedingly rude and offensive when it is neither funny nor necessary to do so, which I would definitely call being a jerk, EVILNAZI or not. --Kracked Mynd (talk) 16:25, 8 August 2019 (UTC)

His societal views (such as on immigration, social benefits, the extent of public services and so on) are very left leaning, but more moderate than, say, the vocal minority that's at the moment representing the USA's Democrats. While it might seem odd to claim his immigration policies are left leaning, by Norwegian standards limiting or halting immigration is a stance shared by practically all the major parties and the populace at large, no matter what side of the political spectrum they would normally place themselves. As a side-note; as i'm not sure if the LGBT point was sarcasm or not, if it was; i don't think using words as faggot or gay with a negative connotation means that he is a homophobic or whatever else, if it was not sarcasm, well then we can agree on something. And as for the Islamophobia question. I can somewhat see it, given his talking about it, but i think that his condemnation stems from a hatred for the religion in general. Rather i think its the culture of the less-than- progressive middle-eastern countries using "gods will" as an excuse that he condemns. He is an asshole though, not arguing that. In retrospect, I should not have removed the link. --Llamathion (talk) 20:27, 8 August 2019 (CEST)

I wasn't being sarcastic about his stance on queer issues - I think he is ignorant and immature, possibly even spiteful, but not a bigot. That said, if we're talking about American politics and views on immigration, I'm going disagree (although he is pretty moderate in terms of public services); see here for more information. Also, the largest Parliamentary presence in Norway is the Arbeiderpartiet, which is very immigration positive, and has been, especially with Syrians, since 2015. Also, as far as Islamophobia is concerned, I'm going to say that based on his comments on Sharia law (which is subjective), use of extremist footage, and out-of-context Quran quotes, I'd say it's more than just an anti-religious stance in general, especially given how he explicitly said that there is a superiority of cultures, which is not a left wing concept in the West. Either way, I'd call him center right to right (again, I'm not going to argue that he's far right or a fascist, his actual views don't show that). --Kracked Mynd (talk) 18:58, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
