We need to talk[edit]

Ancient History

Now. Not later, not soon, now. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 16:47, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

What's there to talk about? I've made one edit on the page proper. I'm all for page deletion. As for talk, if Triacom wants to keep doubling down, I'll keep raising.Piroko (talk) 01:07, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Triacom and I will NEVER see eye to eye on things, this is a fight that frankly can only be settled next November when the God Emperor wins another four years of tearing their entire traitorous commie party limb from limb and making the supreme court hard right for a half century. Smells like... victory.Piroko (talk) 01:11, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Piroko, do you not realize how radical you sound when you say this? I'm trying to help you out here. There was a time when I would say stupid shit like "Suffer not the liberal to live", and "Beware the communist, the liberal, the Democrat." It was the worst time of my life. True, I developed a great love for politics as a result, but that love only existed because I was driven by my hatred of my classmates and their liberalism, rabidly dedicated into making their ideology into a monster, just as monstrous as my classmates. Dude, I developed an obsession with knowledge, for the pure reason of destroying my ideological enemies. I know that some liberals can be incredibly toxic people, but you can't let them control who you are. I'm not a lib, and there ain't no way I'm ever gonna vote for one, but they exist, and we have to deal with it now. Ultimately, I want to ask you this: Are you gonna let some snotty, arrogant brat pick on you enough that you turn to anger, rage and hate? Or do you stand strong against their assault. Take it from me, the stoic approach will help you more. Talk to me. I want to help you if I can. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 04:07, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
I am a lot older than I think you think I am. I'm not gonna give away the details but lets just say I have fond memories of the Reagan administration. It's too late for me. I've seen my country go to shit and now we don't even have the catharsis of hoping to go out in one big fucking sendoff show with the Russians. You younger people, I think, don't understand the sentiment; you don't understand how disappointing this future has turned out to be and how, in retrospect, going Mad Max and launching the missiles might have been preferable. Piroko (talk) 04:20, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Take off your nostalgia filter and realize that America has always had huge problems, even during its best times. America isn't actually a much worse place to live in than it was back in that time. The difference is that now the press focuses a whole lot more on the negative to bring awareness of problems that have always been their. It is both a good thing and a bad thing because it makes people more active in fighting for positive change, but it also has lead to a whole lot of anger. And for somebody who claims to be older than us, you sound incredibly immature. I agree with Lord Of The Lemmings. You need to grow out of those childish desires for destruction. Take my advice. Clear the hatred from your heart before you fight against your enemies to make yourself better than them. You don't need hatred to fight for a cause you believe is right. Take no pleasure in the suffering of your enemies or you will become a sadist. And don't let yourself believe you need to kill all your enemies or everybody will become your enemy.--2602:306:B88B:FB60:6909:DAB6:212E:BD2D 04:35, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Look, numbers... at no point, not here, not on talk:sjw, not ever, did I say I want to harm anyone. Because I don't. I have no desire to harm any person personally no matter what they've done to me. I simply want to see them lose. And if they aren't going to lose, then I see no value in preserving anything. Let it all burn. I don't hate them. I simply hate the world they seek to create.Piroko (talk) 04:44, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Well, that's an improvement. I would argue that in general, societal change is in some way required, otherwise we would never progress at all. But burning things down to prevent them from corrupting it is a little radical. This isn't Warhammer: things in this world can still be saved. Germany: WWII country and literal birthplace of the Nazi's that got fucked over badly is now one of the top economies of Europe. Hell's kitchen used to be horrible, but policing efforts have helped reduce crime there, and our economy, after the 2009 bit, is now having some of the lowest unemployment ever. I think those are some nice positives. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 04:53, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
"But burning things down to prevent them from corrupting it is a little radical." So are the people we're up against. I happen to believe it would be mercy compared to the world they would create. I don't want this conflict, I want them to fuck right off and stop trying to fix what, in my reckoning, wasn't broken. Piroko (talk) 04:57, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Maybe they are radicals, maybe they are not. Do we use radicalism to fight islamic extremism? Would that help the situation? I don't tend to believe so. Radicalism and zealotry are dangerous tools to play with. It often claims just as many supporters as it does enemies for being "lacking in faith" per se. But even if they try to create a world like that, that's why a balance exists. From the conception of politics, we have always had a balance, some people believing one, some believing the other. Ultimately, most people are smart enough to know something is bad, and we can strive to make a future where that never happens again. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 05:03, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
We don't have a balance in this country, we haven't had balance for a hundred years. When we gave women the vote without dealing with the Heinleinian questions of the relationship between sovereign franchise and military obligation, we destroyed the republic. It's just taken this long for the gears to start grinding and seizing up. Piroko (talk) 05:06, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
That sounds like a problem. A problem that needs a solution. But just as we were able to (mostly) eradicate smallpox, I have confidence that we can work through these problems. But might I also point out that in the same time, we: Eradicated the most evil regime on Earth, proved once and for all the free market is superior to the command economy(BTW that's a fact, not opinion. Macroeconomics is a science), gave blacks laws to allow them to vote, saved South Korea, and managed to save our endangered national bird, the Bald Eagle, from extinction. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 05:13, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
I don't care about any of those things. I think you're being charitable and thinking that I mean well. That's a mistake on your part, I absolutely am a sexist. When I say SJW, I mean it as a synonym for feminism. Good talk tho. Piroko (talk) 05:20, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Most forms of modern feminism are...debatable at best in their usefulness. We agree on that I suppose. However, if you insist I shall not bother you about it any longer. I only hope that whatever pains grieve you soul will be lifted from you. --Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 05:27, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

I don't think he's going to stop.[edit]

HussarZwei has been doing this nonsense for the past while, revising "SJW" and "/pol/" into his personal subjective soapboxes (i.e. lumping in conservatives and Christians alongside nazis and fascists in /pol/, then sprinkling in the word "rightfully" regarding their persecution, execution and punishments. Deleting negative wordings in SJW and downplaying some of their IRL activities). Deleted my post and tarbrushed me as a /pol/lack when I initially called him out in Lord of the Lemmings' talk page. He got banned for a day shortly afterwards (after quite a bit being raised against him in Root's talk page), and now he's back and at it again. Hell, Triacom who was defending him at first is now getting fed up (/pol/ talk page). I'd say the only thing he's learnt is to attempt to be sneakier with his edits. --77.111.245.13 02:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Oh. And he called you a /pol/lack and deleted your comment about orcs in the SJW page. Favourite habit of his, calling everyone he doesn't like a /pol/lack. --77.111.245.13 02:37, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

(Shrug) Knowing that Lemming has the evil eye on him is enough for me to sit back and watch the fireworks instead of throwing them. Piroko (talk) 03:39, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Piroko, you and the Anon have been very watchful in my absence, and I would like to thank both of you for keeping an eye on HussarZwei. I am sorry I didn't catch him earlier, I have been quite busy living life and not on here enough, clearly.--Lord Of The Lemmings (talk) 07:19, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
