Hey, regarding your 8th ed Vect, is the Sceptre of the Dark City intended to wound vehicles normally or like the Splinter Pistol on a 6+? --Kracked Mynd (talk) 21:58, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

The Sceptre is intended to wound vehicles normally. I've updated his datasheet to reflect this. --Snorry

Thanks for the clarification mate. My friend plays DEldar and has the old Vect in the Dais and just converted his own, figured we'd give this a playtest. I'll tell you how it goes. --Kracked Mynd (talk) 23:00, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
Please do! I'd love to hear some feedback! --Snorry
While I didn't do any direct playtests, my opponent played him in a quick 50 power game against my Admech. He takes wounds surprisingly fast if he can be targeted, but on turn three he used the Architects of Pain and threw his grenade into my Vanguard and went from 4 back to 7 wounds, keeping him alive for the rest of the game. He (with the help of a Succubus and Wyches (my opponent brought a raiding party) tore through 2 units of plasma Vanguard, my Infiltrators, and severely crippled my dakka Kataphrons (which were pretty solely focused on an annoying Venom with Wracks and a unit of Grotesques).
I don't think he's unbeatable or particularly OP (overwatch really hurt him, but I did use Agripinaa and my opponent seperated him from his Wyches for two different charges), but I had a mostly anti-infantry loadout with anti-vehicle being limited to plasma on my troops and Dunecrawler. I imagine in a larger game he could potentially fall to character hunting armies, like Space Marines or Eldar, but we haven't gotten there yet. Overall fun and seems to be pretty balanced. --Kracked Mynd (talk) 21:14, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear that he worked well!--Snorry (talk) 21:42, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

Arbites Codex[edit]

First off, excellent job on the Arbites Codex. At a glance I thought I missed a release, so congrats on that. I just wanted to mention that I noticed random random potential typos/misprints/inconsistencies here and there. I've noticed things such as chimera only holding 10 guys rather than 12 or the enforcer datasheet saying 10-20 models and the points summary at the end saying 5-10, and also the combi-needler and the combi-plasma points seemingly being swapped. I'll be playtesting these guys as soon as this quarantine is lifted, and in looking forward to it. Good stuff. I've noticed a few other things and have some small thoughts too so let me know if you'd like to talk more! Thanks again, -Diomecles

Thanks for letting me know! I've started working on a beta codex for 1.2 with points adjustments to keep the codex in line with the new points values and I'll definitely fix those. I'd be happy to hear your other thoughts and I can't wait to hear the results of your playtesting!--Snorry (talk) 16:53, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Commissioned a Battlescribe Datafile for the Adeptus Arbites, found here: https://github.com/Mad-Spy/40kHomeBrew

Mad-spy noticed some errors in the pdf, and i'm planning on commissioning him to do the Codex Supplement - Faith Militant homebrew too

Damn, thanks for this! I really appreciate it! If you could mention any of the errors or anything to me, I'd be happy to fix them!--Snorry (talk) 06:13, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

new homebrew want to contribute?[edit]

hey its me savagereaper the guy who is putting together th hr giger campaign setting. we need fluff writers/grammar nazis for our shit. do you want to GET SHIT DONE?

When I launch my project to make an arbites codex, I don't find any on the web, so I make one. Today, randomly, I find one and a person (or a group ?) who make that. So, I just want to share my work, just here : https://ledecharne.home.blog/2019/08/02/w40k-codex-adeptus-arbites/

On some points, our codex are similar and sometimes we make different choice, it's very interesting for me. What do you think about mine ? How do you make the form of GW datasheet ? You can find an Aeldary exodit homebrew codex too (Sorry, it's in french, my native language).

i dont know how to find the template for a gw datasheet mabye i can find someone who does? Savagereaper (talk) 14:58, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
