VeloCITY Equipment
| This article is bad and may or may not require deleting. Comment on the article's talk page. Reason: There is a new version of VeloCITY, and this page is both superfluous and long since irrelevant, not to mention causing confusion among those trying to find info about the game. The game is getting a new rules document, so this page and all others besides the core VeloCITY page should be deleted. The contents of these pages have been saved for posterity. |

An in-progress overview of Equipment in VeloCITY

Overview[edit]
So, you're the best skateboarder in the world. Congratulations. Only, oh fuck, you don't have a skateboard. What now, tough guy? Well, obviously, you need some wheels. If you aren't picky, you can buy brand-name kits.
Equipment, like most things, has 4 basic stats.
- MAX SPEED: Your top speed. Well, unless you want to risk breaking it.
- ACCELERATION: How quickly you can get up to max speed.
- MANEUVERABILITY: How tight it can turn reliably
- VERTICAL: How high it can jump, and how long a drop it can safely take.
Basic equipment base-lines at 1 in each stat, going up to 3. Advanced equipment base-lines at 2, while maxing at 5. There is also unique equipment, but those are rare enough to not need maximums.
Vehicles[edit]
There are quite a few different ways to get around. Why not take a look and see the differences in the parts and bits?
Bikes[edit]
Parts: Wheels [Max Speed], Drivetrain [Acceleration], Steering [Maneuverability], Frame [Vertical]
Blades[edit]
Parts: Wheels [Max Speed], Bearings [Acceleration], Wheel Frame [Maneuverability], Boots [Vertical]
Boards[edit]
Parts: Wheels [Max Speed], Bearings [Acceleration], Trucks [Maneuverability], Board [Vertical]
Shoes[edit]
Shoes aren't really a vehicle. They don't have stats by themselves. Instead, most shoes will just give a runner a sort of a bonus. Use the character's raw Momentum for Max Speed, Grace for Acceleration, Accuracy for Maneuverability, and Power for Vertical.
Brands[edit]
Brand names. Almost all equipment you'll find is from parts of these, if not whole kits. Customizing them together to create your perfect ride is essential. MCs are encouraged to create their own brands, either as name-only variations of already existing brands, thus being only cosmetic changes, or radically different from the established types.
